Scholarship

The WISE Cleveland Scholarship Program provides scholarships to women of Northeast Ohio who are graduating high school seniors or current college students with an intended course study in sports management and/orscholarshipwinners.jpg events

  • If you are –or know – a current female resident of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area with career aspirations in events, sports management or related fields, WISE Cleveland encourages you to participate in our scholarship application process
  • Requirements include:

o Female resident of Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Medina, Lorain, Summit or Portage Counties

o Currently pursuing post-secondary education towards a 4-year degree –or- Accepted at a college or university as a freshman or upperclassman for the 2014-2015 school year

o   Hold a minimum of 2.75 grade point average on a 4.0 grade scale

o   Have shown a history of participation in event planning, sports management or sports/event volunteerism, or participation in the business of sports or athletics such as coaching / team management

The application process is takes 3 simple steps:

o   Fill out the application  CLICK HERE

o   Provide a copy of your current, official, sealed transcripts from your high school or college of current enrollment

o   Provide a one page essay commenting on your prior events or sports history and your future goals and why you decided to pursue studies in a field related to the business of sports or events

PLEASE NOTE: If you are a high school senior, WISE Cleveland asks that you include a copy of your collegiate acceptance letter

Application deadline is April 1, 2014 with award recipients are selected in April with notification by May 2014

Other ways to engage & learn more about the WISE Cleveland Scholarship:

  • This fall / winter – a WISE Cleveland Scholarship Committee representative may be at a school in your area  – check back after November 15, 2013 for a schedule of high school & college visits
  • Visit your guidance counselor, college career center or academic advising office for information –or – CLICK HERE to help pass along the information to your educational institution
